Time Change Instructions

Time Change Instructions

Maintaining the correct date and time in your telephone and voice mail systems is essential for most organizations because these settings affect several operations, as well as the time shown in the display of your telephones. Voice mail systems insert the date and time into messages left by callers, and some systems are programmed to use the date and time for enabling day/night greetings as well as day/night ringing patterns. For these reasons and many others, it is advisable to keep the date and time set correctly on both telephone and voice mail systems. Most businesses will make 2 changes per year, from Standard Time in the Spring to Daylight Saving Time in the Fall. While your system administration guide booklets provides step-by-step instructions for this process, we have also included these instructions below for your convenience.
